Care Team

LIFE services are authorized, coordinated, and monitored by the LIFE care team. This health care team is composed of the LIFE primary care physician, nurse, social worker, center manager, therapists, dietician, home health coordinator, and other program staff. Working together, the LIFE team members assure that care and treatment are provided in a responsive and caring fashion.

The Albright LIFE Medical Director is Dr. Neelofer Sohail. Dr. Sohail is a geriatrician, specializing in the care of elder patients. She received her medical degree in Karnataka-Sri Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences in Karnataka, India. She completed her residency in family practice at Conemaugh Medical Center, Johnstown, PA serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Sohail worked for one year in a local private practice, and completed her geriatric fellowship in 2006. She is board certified in family practice and has her Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics. Dr. Sohail loves to work with the older patient poulation and their families. At Albright LIFE, Dr. Sohail is able to support seniors in their goal to remain at home as they age, helping them remain as independent as possible.

Matthew Hazen is the Executive Director of Albright LIFE Lancaster. Matt a 1985 graduate of Penn State University and brings a wealth of diverse experience to his position. Previously, Matt served as the Administrator of Maple Farms Nursing Center in Akron, PA.  Prior to that position Matt worked in customer service based jobs including sales and marketing, restaurant management and health care. Matt states that LIFE is an excellent alternative to long term care placement where the services he loved and appreciated in a nursing home setting  are now available to seniors in their own homes.

Belinda Byrne, RN, BSN is the Director of Health Services for Albright LIFE.  Belinda graduated from Francis College with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Belinda has held a variety of positions in long term care including charge nurse, nurse manager, supervisor and director of nursing. Over the years she has worked to insure a good quality of life for seniors and sees the LIFE program giving seniors a place to thrive, a purpose, and a way to remain connected to their loved ones and their homes.

Debi Martin-Draude is the Center Manager. Debi is a Registered Nurse and has most recently worked at the Heart Group. Debi is responsible for the social and recreational activities in the center as well as transportation.  She also supervises the program assistants as they care for the participants.

Sara Vergis, MSW is a Social Worker at Albright LIFE. She has 25 years of experience working in the social services field. Sara worked at the Area Agency of Aging in Conneticutt for 18 years providing community based services for seniors. She continues to help seniors in Lancaster County remain safely in their homes with LIFE services.
